For what seemed to me to have been the longest time, I thought I had let go of the hand of the Most High. But in reality it wasn't until a particular situation that I realized that I had not been holding onto it at all.
Since before I could truly remember, I had been taught to conform to the traditions of religion and presented with false demonstrations of who God was by the actions of others. Not once did anyone ever ask me who or what I believed Him to be.
So when traditions began to fail and I saw the faith of the people falter, so did I. After being filled with His spirit, I let it go. I walked away for traditions. I walked away from people. I walked away from God.
And then one day when I could fight no more, physically tired, emotionally drained, mentally torn and spiritually empty, I fell down on my knees and prayed - FOR MYSELF!
THAT was the day I grabbed hold to the hand of God. THAT was the day I got to know Him for myself. THAT was the day He filled the emptiness with a love and a peace so pure that every day I sit in amazement of His power.
Let others say what they will about your walk with your higher power and in no way be offended by their opinion. Hold fast to the hand of the one that has designed your destiny and let no man dead or alive cause you to loosen your grip!
Your relationship with your higher power should be based on, rooted in, and dependent upon what YOU need for YOURSELF. Get a Grip and don't let go
Even though we know that tomorrow is not promised, that knowledge does not diminish our hope that we will see it, be a part of it, and live it when it does.
This is hope!
It is not based on whimsical desire or far-fetched fantasy or a misguided sense of entitlement or privilege. No. It is based on our unquenchable belief that - tomorrow will come.
Call us all naive to take for granted that we will all move forward into tomorrow, but that is just the subconsciousness of mankind to continue in hope without truly understanding the power of belief.
There is no wrong or right - There just IS! and when is occurs and today becomes tomorrow and you begin to live for today, do so with the knowledge that tomorrow will come again and today will be the lesson that guides you through tomorrow and that the lesson is a blessing that keeps you hoping forward.
