Every strong idea stems from an event, an action, a few words, a feeling and pushes you towards a purpose - self-care, healing, restoration, peace. This "push" is 9 times out of 10 going to become your WHY! Whether it is a person or people, a point to be proven, a reputation to build or a respect to be regained, your WHY is driven by the pressures of your past and the perceptions of your future precipitated by the actions of your present.
I read a post the other day and it simply said "No matter how good a person you are, you are evil in someone's story" I know - a harsh reality right? But, if you think about it with an open mind and a pure heart, just because YOU no longer see YOU as the immature, confused, mislead, misunderstood person that made mistakes (some major, some not so minor), it does not mean that THEY see beyond the past of who you used to be to who you are now! And while you have always seen them as YOUR WHY!
Why I push so hard
Why I am so determined to make a positive change
Why is it necessary to make "this" happen
The fact that they will not ever come to know and see you as your are will cause a shift in your focus and all that you have been destined to do, all that you are determined to do, all that you are guaranteed to be remembered for now becomes an ideal for someone else to carry on!
This shift will not destroy you! This shift will in fact strengthen you and open you up to a deeper purpose that will have a profound effect on those that you didn't even know actually witnessed a change in you. Those that witnessed maturity, those that observed growth, those that experienced forgiveness. Those that you did not know needed to see your pain. These are the ones (the person, the people) that have now become apart of your WHY!
What do you do when your why changes? You EXPAND YOUR PURPOSE!
NEVER GIVE UP on becoming who you are meant to be! Never allow your past to define your future, but instead allow it to be the experience to which you build upon. Stand stronger in your purpose and move forward with excellence and grace!
