We often call ourselves praying for others with the intent of God seeing our unselfishness and thereby granting our requests that we so sincerely submitted right before the final AMEN. But let’s stop for a minute and think about just how selfish we really are.
We have taken it upon ourselves to assume that because we know someone that we can just randomly pray for them, without their permission, when it benefits us.
The true power of prayer does not lie in our assumption, it lies in our response to another’s request. When someone comes to you and ASKS you to “pray for me”, then and only then are you granted access to speak on their behalf to the power of their dreams, desires and aspirations.
And THAT is what I want you to understand about the power of your prayers and your dreams. Learn first to pray for yourself. Don’t be so quick to allow others into your spiritual place of comfort and peace. This is why so many of us get disappointed when we don’t see the proof of our prayers. It’s because someone else has heard us speak and took it upon themselves to pray for us not knowing the construct of our need. And it’s not that God is confused. No. It is because their good intention has become a barrier to our manifestation. Remember how the angel told Daniel that God heard his prayers on the first day but he was held up for 21 days and then the chief angel came to help? This is you. Your prayers are being heard. Your voice has power. Your dreams will come to pass. They just have to get around the well-intentioned prayers of others.
So my word to you is, until you know with an assurance the power of your prayers, only invite those into your realm of prayer that pray in agreeance with you and whom you have witnessed their own manifested power to fulfill their dreams. Those (These) are the ones that will respect the power of your prayer and rejoice in the accomplishment of your dreams.
And for those that feel that they just don’t know how to pray or what to ask for when you pray – Yes You Do! Just open your mouth (heart and mind) and just talk!
